So i do top off my tank with several gallons of fresh water every week and i know evaporated water goes somewhere. I'm not sure if i'm in the market for a dehumidifier but i have quite a bit of ice on my windows. It is cold here this week and i was wondering if anybody else is dealing with frosted windows. I have opened my blinds and i am rotating my 3 fans to all windows to try and dry.

sorry, my question is... just wondering if this is common with uncovered tanks in cold climates to create this amount of ice

usually when youre getting frozen windows like that , its because the seal on the window is gone if they are double paned. the argon gas has seaped out , and youve lost the thermal break basically. at this time of the year , i live in a cold climate and dont get the frosted window effect. the windows are cold but dont get cold enough for it to happen. even on days like today or yesterday where its been around the 1-5 mark. but a dehumidifier would help.

I had pools of water around my windows until I got a dehumidifier. I now empty the bucket once a day. I still have some dampness around the windows but not near as much.
