After 7 days I got my 12 gallon nano cube from DFS.

Got all set up, added water from main tank, added new sand --- transfered rock and corals from main tank after everything settled down. Then spent 1/2 hour fishing with a net in my overflow for my two long lost percs...finally got them and into the nano they went...

Then the pump on the nano just quit! ---

pulled it out...checked it all out & pulled it apart as much as I could looking for possible obstruction...plugged it in, banged on it...nothin...just dead.

Looks like it just heated up and shorted itself out.

    What c&@p.

Have small overflow type filter hanging on side now. Will call DFS in AM and hopefully can get replacement. :( [IMG] :(

Will do, Thanks! (just called DFS and they are sending out whole new aquarium for me to scavenge pump from) with prepaid return. But cooler yet they are giving the $89.00 price advertised at

Nano Cube - For Reef Central Members Only

And even more cooler is they are honoring the 15% discount also! [IMG]

Difference buys me a small titanium heater which I was about to order anywhay.

They have the best shipping too. If you order 100 5g buckets of salt, shipping is still like $18!

Congrats on the price break! I might have to deal with DFS...but I only like their 'Divers Den' which is $$$$

    BOOO...I need a 50W titanium heater!
If all things go as planned, I'm picking up that tank this weekend!

Sorry, "DFS" = Doctors Foster and Smith

Note: Similar/same items are cheaper at PremiumAquatics (a 3Reef sponsor)
