They fubar'd something in the tank instead? My gal just completely washed the collection cup on the skimmer thinking it would be nice to do some equipment maintenance for a change. I applaud her enthusiasm, but at the same time rue her excellent cleaning for now the skimmer has to cure again right after we started to get great skimmate out of it. Micro bubbles everywhere!

my other half, knows better then to touch/clean/ handle/ or do anything but look at the tank unless speicficly told. Then that becomes a huge issuess because there is very detailed methods of doing everything. This way i am the only that screws things up in the tank ;D, no one to blame but me!8) If she really wants something to clean, we have to cat litter boxes, have fun

My buddy who got a job where he is out of town for the work week, has experianced the loved ones "help". Lets just say i have his torch skeleton in my tank. And he had a sponge just floating on the suface of the water.

Ouch! She takes care of the cats too, but she's into the tank just as much as I am, though she hasn't read as much as I have. Having a minor in chemistry, she's in charge of all the testing. I'm in charge of the corrections needed and maintenance. She learned her lesson from the epic stink-eye she received from across the room. Well her back was turned......I'm no dummy!

My acrylic tank has several and I mean several 100 scratches on the front glass as my helpfull 7 year old decided to use the algae magnet when I was away for a couple of days, he picked up some sand I assume, between the magnet and the glass and the front of the tank is now a frosted finish

I have to say my fiance was the one who knew more then me when we rescued our tank back from his mom. Now I realize he really only knew the very basics about saltwater aquariums. In the last three months I have spent alot of time learning about them myself. Talking with all of the people on 3reef has helped a ton. Although I am not sure he is liking that I am spending so much of my time researching what we have as far as equipment goes. (I have spent about a thousand dollars in the last three months while his truck is still in need of front end parts)
I did introduce him to 3reef and now he is wanting to add a fuge.
