    yea im sure its a brittle star what does it look like to you and yea maybe ill trade it out for a sand sifter what kind of starfish could i get in a nano?

    not much. sandsifting starfish will starve in a nano.

    how will cerith snails do in a 1-1.5 inch sand bed?

    I have ceriths in my nano and they are doing great. Mu sand bed is a little more than 2 1/2 inches though.

    Yes. I'm pretty sure my ceriths eat cyan. The only place it exists is where the snails cannot go.
