I bought a dottyback 7 weeks ago and it back the dominant fish in my tank. I have just added 2 lemon damsels and a copperband and the dottyback is driving them mental. What can I do?

That sucks...I rescued one, and when it was healthy..it became the monster you describe. Folks have stated that pound for pound, Dotty is the tough kid on the block...Removing rock work is out of the question for me...Two innocent KIA so far...SPEAR GUN made with Bic pen, spring and paper clip, currently in development.....sorry PETA. : /

the best dotty backs to get are the tank raised orchids, get two small ones, they almost always pair and you will not have any problems with them.

    P. fridmani are the least aggressive out of the dottybacks and are an insane glowing purple. Great fish!

Sorry to say it but you'll probably have to tear down the rock work to get it out. Those little guys can curl up and hide in tiny cracks. Good luck!

Dottybacks have no place in my tank. I'd get him out if you can. Of course, I have the same policy for damsels and you just added 2 of those....

you can put a glass cup in the tank in front of a favorite hole, he wont see the glass and will swim right in. Ive done this a few times and its pretty funny. be quick with your net.

Dottybacks and damsels have no place in a mixed community tank.
