evil red serpent

ive heard about the green serpents eating fish. but tonight , my red serpent ate a cleaner shrimp. i couldnt get the cleaner as ijust caught the tail end of the serpent dragging it into a cave. also, i thought my other cleaner had just up and died. but i think i know why. and my blood shrimp is gone. lol. i know whats gone next. asta la vista senior serpent.

Divott its amazing isnt it, as star fish dont look much like bona fide predators, slow and cumbersome in general and shrimp reasonably agile with the ability to cover enough distance in a short time

the shrimp just never suspect anything as it happens so slowly

I have a chocolate Star similiar to the red serpent only brown and now I wonder why my Peppermint's havent been out much at night? Now ya got me thinking. Gee Thank's.

 

yea i figured with the 3 shrimp , thats a $100 into its gullet. also now know what happened to at least 1 porcelain crab. and also ive noticed a hermit thats taken over a mexican halfmoon turbo snail ,with another shell empty in the tank. think it could gotten the snails too? ive got a mass murderer in my midst. lol

thought of that. would there be any chance he could either a) get sucked back into my return pump or b) get stuck onto my skimmer pump? was mainly thinkin of taking him back to my lfs and he can live in their LR tanks.

 

Are you sure the shrimp was alive when the star grabbed it? Maybe the shrimp died and the serpent was just cleaning up?

 

I used to have a red open brain that ate a orange spotted goby and a snail..... Have pics to prove it... LOL....

 

he was still alive , could tell by the fright in his eyes. could tell there was still movement in the shrimp as it was being hauled in.
