If nitrite and ammonia tests at 0 then you can get both.

The corals are just fine, for fish I would go with a clown goby or a firefish. The red spot cardinalfish would be another.

Ok so the clown would be out of the question? Like just a clown fish? Im thinking about upgrading here in the future to a 10gallon reef.

The clown might be OK if you get a tiny one and put it in the 10.

ok went to my local fish store today just to window shop for fish and coral. and in walk a kid about 20 with a clown in a bag and some other fish. the man tore down his tank today and wanted to sell the store his fish. he had no tank set up to store the fish that was in it. the store does not take anyone saltwater fish fearing sickness and indangoering the other fish. so he said what and i supposed to do with these fish. he was going to just "pitch them.". he wasn't happy....... so i offered him 8 bucks for the clown fish. i know this goes against what all you have said but i couldn't stand to see this beautiful fish get pitched... so i hope to see this fish do great in my tank. i feel like i saved his life. so i guess im kinda like nemos dad. i saved the fishes life!

    hope all goes well!
