"Do it once, do it right."

    Touche Hunter...well played. ;)

The weatherproof receptacle (wall-wart) cover is a nice touch...I have those on mine as well. I would strongly suggest GFI receptacles, or a GFI breaker for that circuit...added protection, the right way. ;D

Nice job on the plumbing...pain sometimes to get everything to fit, huh?!

It's not an option without modification to the stand. The placement of the stand brace renders it inaccessible.

I think we all can agree the things reefers would label as sexy might lend us to an asylum if the rest of the population caught on.

Anyhow, I doubt it will be a full siphon. My current CPR external overflow utilizes 2 1" drains as well, and it does not due a full siphon. Mind you, I do expect slightly better flow from my 1262 with the plumbing on this tank compared to what I have now, but not a drastic improvement. Should be in the neighborhood of 800gph.

Oh, that really wasn't intended to be a jab. Sorry about that. Happy belated birthday too Andy.

Noted on the GFI, however I will say I've never utilized them on a tank.

And yes, my few hours for plumbing turned into many. And then I look at what I have and think "How did that take me so long?".

See above; that really wasn't my intention!

    2 weekends away, hopefully.

Nice upgrade and tank and I like the dimensions also. I met the gentlemen from DSA this weekend and they were explaining the new way they were doing the Starfire and it was pretty impressive. Oh and that surprise wrasse wouldn't happen to begin with the letter........Naw I can't to that to you.

Thank you, and yes I believe this was one of the first tanks they've done with the new Starfire. While I had to wait longer than I was told, I'm happy to wait for a better end product.
:D I will say this much; they're currently in HI.

Rather. Plus the excitement of MACNA in 4 days. I'm cautiously optimistic being surrounded by such excitement. :p

    :thumbs_up Thanks.

So DSA is offering to send a new stand with the brace in the right location, and claim it could be here next week.

Not sure if I want to hassle with this; thoughts? I'm tempted to respond with something along the lines of "it's too late for that". Technically, it's not too late just yet, but it would be a lot to mess with at this point, considering all the plumbing is in place. And I likely would still cap off the third drain. :/

I would wait... To be honest... And have it done right the 1st time vs the hassle later.

However if it was my tank. I would um have had water in fish in it already ;x.
