It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If you do wait chances are you will never regret that decision.

If you pass it up it may not bug you much now, but down the road maybe a different story.

My vote is for wait and get the new one. You seem like a more practical person then me so you must be very excited about getting going if you are thinking of passing on getting the replacement.

    No way I'd consider a transfer a week before a vacation. :)

Thanks for the opinion; and yes, getting rather excited.

    Thank you.

So follow-up from yesterday: I'm going to play it by ear. DSA is already building a new stand with a single brace in the center (as opposed to the two I have on this one). If it gets here by mid next week, I'll probably swap it out. If it's not here by Wednesday, I'm filling this tank (and then the supplier will simply keep the stand on hand here in Phoenix). If I wait any longer, my schedule of events will be effected, meaning I won't be able to transfer next weekend and that would impact the fish I have lined out for the following weekend. And considering it's a trio I've waited on since January, I'm not willing to mess that up. :)

Onwards to MACNA excitement now. :D ~5 hours of work to go.

I'll take your spare tanks and stands when you're done with them! Just give DSA my address when they drop that off and they can pick it all up! Awesome build;)

Whoa. MACNA was the most fun whirlwind I think I've ever had. There was no hesitation to purchase tickets for next year while we were there. We had an absolute blast and met nearly more people than I can recall, surely making some great new friends in the process. Possibly more on all that later.

Relevant to this thread, of course I had to make a few purchases. Best of all, everything made the trip back to AZ just fine, as a checked bag on our Southwest flight. TSA didn't even open it. :D To note here: I took an empty Diver's Den box/cooler with me which I had saved for this purpose a few months ago. All my coral were double or triple bagged, and I used some empty air-filled bags and packing peanuts to trap and cushion everything. The cooler lid was tapped shut and I made a note of the contents on the cooler lid, asking to please re-tape if opened. I made the same note on the box top, and also explained what was in the box to Southwest at check-in. In short, I didn't try to hide anything, and I'm happy to say this worked well. No heat or cold packs used, considering the ground temps and flight durations.

    Anyways, items I purchased:
(no photos yet; this might have to wait until after the transfer is complete)

    From Jason Fox:
    1) Vivid's Rainbow Delight Acro
    2) Sunny Day Acro
    3) Raspberry Cheescake Acro
    4) Aquaman Monti
    5) Valentine Cyphastrea
    6) Leptastrea (John Deere I think? Orange with a green rim)
    7) A relatively new chalice (not yet named); I see a lot of potential. Orange/Black/Small streak of green.

    From WWC:
    1) Large Rainbow Trachyphyllia
    2) Rainbow Acan (lots of orange)
    3) Freebee Firefly Acro, which I originally purchased by it was RTN'ing yesterday, so I was credited for it and given it anyways. It looks totally gone this morning anyways, so meh. But...
    4) A red/pink cycloseris (which I wouldn't have purchased had it not been for the credit, so they got more money from me but I got one hell of a coral here) :)

And now you know why I was a bit worried about a checked box of corals. :D

Leak check on my plumbing tonight. Also attended an Aquascaping workshop with Marc Levenson and Scott Fellman on Saturday, which gave me a lot of good ideas on what I want to do when placing everything in this tank. Transfer is still planned for this coming Saturday.

Excellent news on the safe arrivals, and even more excellent choices on coral purchases. I hope the Vivid Rainbow Acro does well for you.
