    Thank you.

Potter's are a very delicate species, and I was accepting of the risks before I took the plunge. I do wish it had worked out, but you can't help what's beyond your control...

Only thing I'm worried about with the MP40s is if I'll notice the noise; doubt they're louder than the skimmer though.

And you are in fact to blame. That's what I'm gonna tell everyone too.

Certainly. I use the 12x6x6, but there are other sizes:

It's a wonderful tool to cut down or eliminate potential aggression with new additions. I leave them in for 2-3 days before release. If I'm dealing with a sand-sleeping genus, I'll add a small container of sand. A piece of PVC in there gives them a place to hide.

Thank you for the compliment. :)

So the new DD adds will be here tomorrow; I do love the Saturday delivery option DD offers, worth the extra $22 for me.

MP40s will be here next week. Excited for toys.

In other news, I did forget to update a couple bits & pieces from the last month.

I also lost my last remaining Bartlett's Anthia. I wasn't surprised, as 7-10 days prior he started eating less and was only coming out during feeding time mostly. Other times he wasn't as active as usual. I did read into the issue, and some experienced anthias keepers have witnessed this before, and offer little explanation. It seems to just be something that happens from time to time with certain anthias. Keepers of large shoals seem to lose two or three to symptoms such as this at random intervals. They refer to the behavior as "the swimming dead". So no idea what went wrong there, but the trio of Bartlett's I started with always seemed to give me trouble along the way, down to the last one.

I upgraded the return pump from a Mag 12 to the Ehiem 1262, mainly to drop some heat from the tank. It did bring things down a bit, probably a degree to a degree and a half, so the tank is running a consistent 81-82, and is in a range I'm much more comfortable with. Saving a bit on the energy bill by virtue of a more efficient pump is a nice by-product.

Lastly, I picked up a DLink IP camera and mounted it on a wall near the tank. It integrates with a smart phone app, so I can now literally see my tank anywhere. You can also access it remotely from a PC. I image this will be a very nice piece of mind the next time I'm away for a couple days. Not a bad deal; just a shade over $100. Night vision (IR LEDs) included on it, so 24/7 viewing is possible.

Next update should have some real pictures, I promise. :)

Yeah, I need that, my rubrippinis was almost killed by my clown fairy after it chased it into a corner and did not let it leave... :p:cry::angry:
Now that I see the stuff, these guys came to a swap by me ad were selling these for almost 1/2 off!
Also, could we get your way to use this? Do you leave them in 24hrs before releasing? Open it if there is no aggresion?

Yeah, I'm not surprised to hear that, as Solon Fairys tend not to play too nice with other fairys. You can make it work, but the Solon will always be the dominant one.

Alrighty, time for that picture update as promised.

I took these last night, including some shots focused on my wrasses. You'll see everybody except the Red Tail pair. I took these about a half hour before the whites went out, and after the last feeding of the day, so those two had already tucked away for the night. I'll try to get a few shots of them later this week.

Please ignore the few LPS that were a little angry by me monkeying with the power heads. Speaking of which, I'm completely in love with the new MP40s. It's also a vice visual improvement ditching the 4 evos. And hey, you can see my frag rack now.

I also broke out the top-down box again and took some photos around the tank. And yeah, I didn't zoom in quite far enough, so you can see the edge of the box in them. I didn't notice that till I was half-way done, and didn't feel like fixing it. :p

And now for the good stuff:

Not bad for a Nikon P&S eh? No editing either; just color/white balance on the camera.

    LEDs don't grow a thing. :p
