    Sorry evolved.

No brittle stars? The cloud of sand has me wondering about such things as crabs and brittle stars, even a rouge mantis.

Hope it's just a random early death. Does not make the frustration any less but you know there was no intervention.

I don't have brittle anything in the DT, as the coral banded shrimp eats them before I ever see them. Lots of brittle worms in the fuge. An occasional sandstorm isn't unusual for the tank with the Halichoeres wrasses. If they see something that looks good in the sand, they'll just about dive for it. Likewise with any new crustaceans that appear in the tank; they'll eat it. So I highly doubt there is something I don't know about in the tank, especially considering it's been months since I've added anything. Always a possibility however. I tend to think the sandstorm was either due to the Halichoeres or the clowns, as they beginning to get protective of their residual area, which is in the general vicinity of the incident. The sandstorm may not have had anything to do with what happened.

Thank you. Christmas? I don't have a Christmas.

That really sucks Hunter, and I am sorry for your loss. Tough to say it it was natural causes/infection/stress from the other fish. In any event, you have some good vibes coming your way now. Hope it all works out for the best.+K
