Tank and corals look awesome, congrats

IME the Pagoda grows slowly also. I have a huge amount of eyes so that the surface can not be seems when they fully extend and it still grows slow. I am working on target feeding weekly so I will let you know if that helps.

    I plead the 5th.

Not intentionally, but it does catch quite a bit in that location from my daily feedings.

    Thanks John.

So I've been a little naughty lately.... :p

I ditched my Lineatus, as he was getting too aggressive, and got a gorgeous Lineatus to replace him.

Oh, and I traded my old Lineatus for a Rhomboid.

Don't get the wrasse bug kids...

New Lineatus in the acclimation box:

    And released:

And my new rhomboid :D :

Also nabbed a zoanthid gem in one of my favorite two LFS, some candy apple reds from a local reefer. I don't have a picture of them yet though, sorry.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Beautiful fish! How long do they stay in the container before you introduce them?

Love those blue mushrooms up against the rockwork in image #2.

Looking forward to seeing the zoanthid, sounds very nice indeed.

2-3 days. It's a technique that both Brad Syphus (a big wrasse keeper in Utah) and Marv (Marv's reef) have perfected with wrasses. Helps everyone get used to each other and cuts down on potential/future aggression.

I actually have 4 frag plus, each with 2-3 polyps, of those mushrooms ready to go for sale at the next club meet. They were loose ones I rounded up over the last couple days. If you want one, we can discuss price. Shipping would surely be more than what I'd want, but maybe a few other things along with it might make you interested? :) I've got a couple frags of the green birdnest on the rack, one small frag of the midnight ryder, and a couple frags of the bam bam oranges zoas (the purple/orange ones you can see on the upper left of the tank). PM me...

And thanks for the complements, as always.

Wow, I'm surprised your Lineatus was aggressive, did he punk all your fish, or just a few of them. The new replacement looks like it's a Super Male, hope he holds his colors for you. Did you buy him from PIA?

Me too, but he'd really go after anyone that got too close. He especially had a grudge against the Scott's; he'd get chased back into his holes if he was out too long. ::) It really was a situation that needed interference.

Yes, I did get him from PIA, and he is very much a super male. While some terminal male Cirrhilabrus species will fade without females, the Lineatus isn't known to do this too bad. It's mostly the "darker" species, such as Scott's, Exquisite, etc.
