I think it might have something to do with the lens that you try to use. I know that some focus better then others. Also, I used to use two filters on the lens as well, a polarized and UV light filter in conjunction.

Every lens has different minimum focus length. If you are too close to the object that you're trying to take picture of, the camera doesnt know what to do. Macro lens makes you able to get close to the object significantly. Just shop around if you want to take decent photos, I found mine off eBay for $40 shipped.

Great tank...I'm building my 90 tomorrow so I'm getting pumped reading your thread. Are you still using the same 24 LED system from Rapid LED? You are clearly growing things just fine...I just wanted to know if it was all with those 24 LEDs.

Yeah ill leave the macro fancy pics to you lol I'm too dumb to figure all that out. My HTC evo is about as tech as I can get with a camera and making it look ok lol

Hey JK901, welcome to my thread and thanks :)

Well I upgraded the LED last December. But I did use the 24 LED fixture for about six months, believe it or not. Here is the LED re-build thread if you are interested.

I can't believe how good cell phone pics are getting. It seems like they really compete with the DSLR's hands down IMO.

Did you notice a big difference in health/growth after the lighting upgrade? The build writeup is great on that new LED system. I'm reading now. :)

If you see the before and after pic on the thread, you can see the difference especially green. (I spent a lot of time and $ into it so, there have to be!! LOL)
