    And sure you did, JB!

You were right Alec, and it certainly opened up a bit more.

Sweet new adds, that RBTA is super tiny lol, I like that you will be able to watch it grow. Tanks looking good. Couple questions...

    1. Are you still using the light from the 29 (as is)?

    2. How do you like the reactor and did you use the maxijet 9?

    3. I like the rockwork, but do you feel like it will have enough bio filtration in the long run?

    Thanks, and yes (FAIL..)

Dont see the difference yet, but it was easy to set up, hopefully the water gets clearer soon :) I think it's pushing enough flow for now with the MJ900.

Id like to add 30lbs of (dry) rocks either from ReefCleaner or BRS (Pukani) down the road.

LOL, of course I'm looking at a pic and not in person, but it looks like it actually has decent spread given the circumstances.

I will see how my media bags do for now, but I could see me getting one of these down the road, was just curious your thoughts.

I'm not usually big on the minimalist look, but I actually like it in your tank. I bet that sailfin takes advantage of that room :fish:

Yeah, thats the thing, there is no SPS yet and the LED seems to have enough light FOR NOW, if it were pretty obvious that the light were weak sauce, I wouldve upgraded long time ago. When I re-DIY the LED, I will add:
    -Warm white (~12)
    -Blue (8~10)
    -UV (4~6)
to the Royal blue and Cool white that I have now. See what happens.

A lot of people are using media bags for GAC, and their tanks look amazing.

The sailfin does look happy. The clowns were intimidated by him for a while but they are all over the place now :)

I cant remember what your light is comprised of now, I mean how many of each color? Plus I'm too lazy to look at the moment lol. But 12 Warm Whites is alot, I would be afraid it would be too yellow. Have you thought about Neutral Whites?

    Right now:
    12 Royal Blue
    12 Cool White
    Current spectrum approximate simulation:

    Addition:
~12 Warm White to add red spectrum
8~10 Blue to widen the blue spectrum
4~6 UV VERY effective to color up shallow water SPS.

The spectrum becomes something like this:

The gray shadow back ground is the natural sunlight. You might want to make it as close as possible.. (But as you can see, it's missing a LOT of colors and strength. ) And neutral white is not red enough, according to the simulator.

Thanks to some Japanese Reef site's online simulator. They dont have the exact match to what I have/want, but youll get the idea.
