    I thought so, but I took a look at it just now, the top layer is not stuck together any more!

    But yeah, if you could post your BP movie, it would be great!!

    Yeah, and it's dialed back a lot more than I thought I'd have to. I'd say right now, dialed back somewhere between 30-50%.

    ok don;t know if i want to ask this. but i am going to any way. What is the diff between bio pellets and GFO?

    Added a new fish. pics maybe tom?

    Research carbon dosing, which is what bio pellets are, in a solid form. They host and feed bacteria, the bacteria that consume the pellets also consume nitrates and phosphates, and excess bacteria is collected by the skimmer. Thus, biopellets encourage a bateria population that consumes reef nutrient that algae would otherwise use to thrive. Algae is then starved out of the reef.

    GFO is simply a medium that absorbs phosphate. It does nothing to nitrates, and needs to be replaced every month or so, incurring a greater expense.

    I finally solved (hopefully) the BP tumble problem. I modified the BRS reactor (it's documented here).

    Hmmm. This is why i didn't want to ask. I just picked up a GFO reactor. I guess i will wait and see how it goes for excatly.
