Thanks guys and welcome to 3reef! Nothing beats a free 90! Whats your current set up?

I think I will go with the PanWorld 100PX-X. Any feedbacks, please? It has 4.5 star rating at MarineDepot.

Wow! Looks good I guess I missed the entire build though. :D I want to get the pan world as well I have heard really good things and once I get the money plan to buy one myself. If you do get it let me know how it does, but do not get a Mak series pump I have that on my 90 and it is powerful and puts out a lot of flow but it is quite loud.

Also good idea on the zip tie overflow very creative!

Thanks for coming over here, Scott!

Matter of fact, Ive ordered the PanWorld pump from BRS yesterday. It was $153 with the group buy discount. You got a MAK4, right? You think PX-X 1,270gph is too much? I might have to throttle it down and will def. let you know how it goes!

Well the panworld does not have as much power when it comes to head loss the Mak is a beast in that territory and can handle a good amount. From what I remember when looking at those the head loss is greater in the pxx then the px? In the end it should be reduced to around 950 gph? After head loss and the plumbing.

This is the spec sheet from PanWorld.

Its about 4' up and all, so, 950gph is about right.

In comment to your pump, and my desire to change mine out, I've been looking at going with lower flow as well. I have a HF32 that gives me probably ~1400 GPH through the sump, which I dont believe is neccessary. The next pump I'm looking at will have approx 6-10x tank turnover, so something less than 900 GPH after head loss. Hopefully the pump will run quieter and cooler, and the whole setup will be a little quieter. Let me know how that pump works for you if you go with it! ;)

We ought to start a "boss" support club...

Hey! Thanks for coming over to my build :)

Yeah, Im waiting for the PX-X I mentioned. Im expecting it hopefully tomorrow, if not, Monday. The sump is small so I wanted to save the space inside. Thats why I took the external pump route.

The tank is up and running with the temporary Mag3, I brought the animals over from the 29. Before the move, of course I tried my best to match the parameters between 29 and 90 as much as possible.
Other than the LR, I really didnt use the water from 29, but everything seems to be doing well so far.

    The current parameter as follows:
    Ca 460
    Mag 1,300
    Phos 0
    Nitrate 0
    Alk 7
    pH 8.2

Great build thread so far! I'm subscribed :)

Maybe a quick tip? Why didn't you put the square locking pieces at the ends on the outside of the pipe to make the inside more neat and linear. Again, I'm not sure that this will even work or if you did it on purpose the original way. Just curious, ::) LOL

Looking forward to seeing the tank mature.

    Thanks, Mike!

The zip-tie's square "heads" are inside because I dont want to see them all the time, and the heads block the critters more as well. Some of the snails I got from Reefcleaners today are tiny, I just dont want any accidental clog.
