It is a very expensive piece of equipment, indeed, yet I cant have a tank without.

Well, not the ecosmart modes for sure, as they don't exist in the non-ES model. You should still be able to run them anti sync on the modes you have on both drivers. Worst case your out 60 bucks to upgrade the driver.

Thanks Logan! I got the second MP40 this morning and I figured it out! They work in sync like a charm!

Thanks Atticus. Yeah, I have mainly used the MP40w ES with the Short Pulse Mode and Lagoon Mode, and I like to start using the ReefCrest Mode, which all are the conventional modes. So for now, it's gonna work out great! (and the ES upgrade kit is $100 now btw..)

Here is what I did in case someone else is interested:
-I thought I should upgrade the firmware on the MP40w since it's the 2nd gen model, turned out, I didnt need the upgrade. I follow the instruction put both of them in the firmware upgrade mode, didnt do anything, so Ill keep using them as they are.
-I did the "Full Driver Memory Clear" on both drivers.
-I set the MP40w ES as the Master, MP40w as the slave, following the instruction. (you can download the instruction from the EcoTech site if you misplaced them)
-I couldnt find how to set Sync or Anti-Sync on the instruction, but simply push the "Mode" button on your slave, it would switch around (white and orange indicator). I placed the pumps one on each side, so they should be Anti-Synced, so one is at 80%, the other is at 20%.

Over all, one MP40 wouldve been fine, but more is better. Its just more efficient, quieter, more random flow etc.

Yes, more is better especially in a larger tank, the undertow effect is what sets this apart from a standard powerhead and in your 90 with one on either end the undertow will prevent any build up of detritus anywhere.

I didn't realize the drivers were that expensive now  Glad it worked out and you didn't need any extra expense!

Thanks and Im glad too that it worked out. Yeah if I were to spend $100, Id rather get the VDM for the LED dimming control via Apex :D

LOL I was wondering if you were going to ignore that. The couple that just won the 1 million dollar prize ended up being my wife's old co worker/ friend.

On topic, im looking at upgrading to vortech since anyone who has a tank i like is using them. You think it would be better in a 125 6ft tank to do two 40's or one 60 with anothe pump on the far side?
