I am going to set up my 75 gallon FOWLR tank soon. Do you think I should go with the HV-1 hang on skimmer rated up to 100 gallons, or go witht the HV-2 rated up to 150-200 gallons? Anyone have one of these or any ideas?

    Thanks,

No experience with those skimmers, but I'd think the smaller one should be fine, unless you get big tank syndrome. ;)

Depnds on how you plan to load it. If it will be light to moderately stocked the smaller will be fine. If you are going to stock heavy or have some messy eaters I might go for the larger one. They are good skimmers for the price, very similar in design to the Precision Marine Hot1, and I like them more than the BakPaks personally for the price point(the HV1 that is)

I bought the HV1 a month ago and love it, they are a little over rated though so I would go with the larger one
