My old DI resin was registering 1 TDS so I changed out my resin. I put in some color changing resin from BRS. Now, three weeks later it is registering higher TDS than the original resin was... and the color has already went from blue to orange. Any thoughts on whats going on here?

CO2? It will burn up resin pretty quick. What is the TDS from the RO?

I'm far from an expert on these things, I've never had that kind of problem.

Just guessing, but my first thought would be a bad membrane - I assume you keep up on the other filter changes too.

TDS are now reading 32 in and 32 out. Way too high!

Sounds like time to change the membrane. Look for any internal bypassing of the membrane also.

I think you may have a cracked housing then if you ran water through the new membrane for about an hour or so to remove preservatives and anti-bacterial chemicals.

TDS is like bug poo in your cereal. You want 0. :D

    Agree; replace the membrane/housing.

I'm sure this is not the case but I have to ask. Did you disconnect any tubing when you replaced the membrane? Could you have accidentally connected the waste water to the DI?
