Explain to me what a reef controller does

    Problem with that is if your PH probe fails, then it might tell the controller all kinds of weird things and make the calcium reactor do things that are unintended.

    Everything has an inherent risk. Its better than the Milwaukee pH controller it replaced and has been rock solid for about 3 years now, I'm not worried.

    Additionally, a lot of the controllers are able to log everything. I can look at my computer and see temperature graphs, ph graphs, event logs (lights on, off, ect). Lots of stuff they can do!
