I have been running my tank without a skimmer for about a month now and decided it's time to invest in one. The problem is I have very little space in my sump so an in sump skimmer isn't an option unless I could put it in the fuge? So I need some recommendations on external skimmers that would sit beside my sump under the tank. I also don't really understand how to plumb one in can anyone fill me in?

    Thanks,
    Landon

Great skimmer, I have the EV-180 and love it. AquaC also has a HOB version called Remora(I believe). Just stay away from Jebo, Odyssea, Seaclone and if any1 can think of another brand, chime it in. If you get the AquaC skimmer, the instructions shows you how to plumb it either in-sump or external application. Luna

I would wait until around the 6th month to start the skimmer. You will be removing spores that you need in a new tank. With it being only a month old, there is nothing there to skim.

Cool, I just read the manual online seems all I need is some flexible tubing to connect the pump to the skimmer. Can't wait to pick this up!

Yup, pretty much what you will need is an inlet into the pump, then a 1/2" ID hose that will run from the outlet of the skimmer pump to the intake of the skimmer barb. Then you will need to plumb the outlet back into the sump.
