    Who, besides me, adds air to their system via an air pump, either in main tank or sump?

    It is something I have long done to keep surface scum to a minimum and make extra sure the tank is fully oxygenated.

    Not partiularly because I read somewhere to do it. But just because it seemed like a good idea. :thinking2

    My tank gets more than enough air thru the skimmer. I have the output of the skimmer puring on top of the return pump and theres plenty of oxygen, sometimes to much.

    I thought that doing so caused alot of salt creep?

    Neglible on light cover in main tank. What there is can easily wiped off on tank cleaning day.

    Don't see how, if you run it in sump.

    I run an airstone when I feed my LPS. < Because its impossible to feed with the main pumps on :/
