Extreme Clown Aggression, possible eggs?

LOL you have to read her other thread to understand. This actually started out as a royal gramma thread, turned into kc's job being leaked out(and not giving anyone discounts I might add) and then, well I actually don't remeber the rest.

 

eh not to worried about saving the eggs, its a really big rock.
so your saying they do this constantly after the first batch! which means my other fish and i are going to have to put up with an evil female clown from now on? that's not going to be fun. I guess i spoiled them a bit to much with having only 3 of them in a 3 foot tank.

The one positive thing that i see out of them making babies is i could say their a mated pair for when i eventually sell them. Although im still confused about the whole pair situation, these two never swim together always apart, but now their getting ready to lay eggs?

But discounts are good. She seems so nice how could she be mean enough to not give well deserved discounts lol...

I suspect within a couple days, PC's gonna have some babies on her hands. That might encourage her not to move out

and think i should do anything to prepare for the little ones? im getting my moonlights in a couple days, i wonder if that will encourage even more spawning

 

Well, hummm, I don't know what to say here except that you would be able to get a better price for the mated pair;D
If they are indeed in the spawning process, I'd anticipate some constant aggression unless you add something small and aggressive to keep the female at bay like another clown or a dottyback. Be careful with the dottybacks though.
Like I said, I have no experience with spawning clowns so I don't know what's up with them swimming apart they could be just getting too territorial because of so much room for themselves like you stated

 

Moonlights may encourage more spawning but I'm not completely sure. The only preparation you need to consider is a small tank w/ heater, sponge filter and some rotifers for when the eggs hatch

 

A few biologists think it has something to do with the lunar cycle/gravitational pull. I think they might actually be on to something.

lol you must have missed our other thread about the whole off topic, lol if you check in tropical fish youll find it lol if your bored read through the whole thing lol and yea ive decided to get a Royal Gramma which ill be ordering on monday and should arrive on tuesday

getting another tank setup wont be possible do you think one of those little hang in the tank breeder tanks might work?

 

hmmm maybe my clowns somehow know that im getting moonlights and they want to start prepairing for them
