Lol I miss out on most of my tank's beauty because I try to mimic the natural sunlight photoperiod since the tank gets lots of natural sunlight. My lights went out 6 hrs ago and no moon lights on this tank as yet. I have the fixture w/ moons but I'm scared to hang 1072watts over a softie and LPS tank8):-/

I definitely missed the other thread. But IME, royal grammas find a hole in your rocks and stay there most of the time I see mine out usually at night. It Gets me annoyed because that's one of my fav fish.

Yep, the hang in breeder tank may be even better. However, I don't think they like much light. Again, I'm only speaking from observation, my friends who breed them usually have the babies in tanks that are covered and blacked out.

my tank has NSL as well, right next to the window, so corals are out even before i open the blinds to my room, and the only algae i ges is bad film algae, but none of the other nasty stuff

aww man thats no good, hopefully mine will come out, maybe he will be attacking the clowns all day if they decide to attack him and therefore remain out in the open while my firefish just stays in his corner minding his own business.

hmm didnt know about the black out, if im able to catch the fry/eggs i wonder if i can just toss them in like a 5 gallon bucket that i have and put in a little air stone and maybe a tiny heater and leave it at that and see if they survive. although i probably dont have any food that they would eat
