I purchased a pair of Ocellaris a couple weeks ago that are doing very well, but there is one problem. I cannot put my had in the tank without them trying to tear it to shreds, lol. the male's bites don't hurt too bad, but the female really holds on, and her bites feel like a continuous hard pinch. They are the only fish in a 30 gallon long. Does anyone else have this problem?

I get that all of the time with my pair. I think they are just defending their home.

LOL I use to have a pair, but my frogspawns started hosting the female and then she suddenly switched and starting severly attacking the male to the point he was always hiding. So I gave him away and everytime I put my hand in the tank she charges my hand but has yet to bite me lol I'm waiting for it though.

They bite quite often... clowns are not the nice little fish everyone seems to think they are. They are damsel mean. They don't have to be in pairs to do this or be protecting anything, just wait until they have a clutch..... get out the suture kit!
