    Is it possible that your unidentified coral here is in fact montipora digitata?

    As you can see in this picture of mine . The monti Digitata has spread down onto my liverock. I was thinking yours could of done the same thing long ago and along the way the branch broke off . Just a thought. ;D

    personally I don't think it's digitata. I do think it's an encrusting monti. Digis have finger like protrusions and grow vertical.

    Ive thought a few times it could be something similar to montipora danae or cunfusa, theres another monti that I cant remember right off that it looks like.

    I know how Digitata is supposed to grow. I have several. My Montipora Digitata is encrusting over its' base rock that it is mounted to. I just am saying it is some TYPE of Montipora.
