F/W dipping

I have one, but we are not talking about the same thing here. Boxes inside the tank are used to prevent aggression when it will be anticipated with existing livestock. One of the main purposes of QTing is to prevent introducing a diseased fish into your DT. The other, and equally important reason, is to get a new fish acclimated in a stress free environment, and to get it eating properly. Both are easily achieved when it is the only fish in a smaller tank, rather than having established fish cause it additional stress or scare it into hiding.

 

I finally set up a 10 gallon QT. Now any fish I get will spend a few weeks alone.

 

I have done the FW dip with good success especially with tangs. here is the method I use.

ive done without the Blue medication as well.
