    Hello all,
I bought a mated pair of these lil fellas and i just love em to death. They came together by UPS and have done great in my tank, very healthy. They are very young (about a 3/4 inch long). My problem is they are stuck up at the top of the tank by the return head and wont leave. I placed a gren bubble tip below them (he actually stayed there) and they still wont leave and venture out. I have a peaceful tank and the biggest guy in there is a Tomato clown which has his own green bubble on the other side of tank. Anyway to coax them down to check out the bubble or just let them do there thing? Anyhow... where they are at I can hand feed them which is pretty cool to me.

might be the tomato that's startling them. is there any aggression? It's not always a good idea to mix clowns together

    How big is your tank?

Mixing clown spieces in tanks under 150g is pretty difficult..I have seen it done. But 95% of the time the old clowns(one that was in the tank before) will bully the new ones.

YOu will probebly endup having to remove the tomato or the false percs.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Very commom for younger clownfish to do this. As they get older they will start to venture out farther into the tank for longer periods of time. In the wild clownfish rarely venture far from their anemone, they pretty much stay in one little small spot.

I have two o clowns that are very young aswell. They have found a nice little indention in the sand and stay there all day unless feeding. I have found that there is no way to get them to like something or host something. Just give them some time to get used to the tank. Keep an eye on the other clown he will probably begin to bully if he hasnt already.

Thanks all. I have a 130 gallon tank right now. I have not noticed any aggressive behavior in the tank since I removed my two damsels from the tank. The Tomato clown is very large( about 4 1/2 inches long) and he has been in the tank about 5 years now. He does not bother anything in the tank unless they get close to his host.
