False Perc and Flower anemone

Is it possible that my clown will host to this flower? I have a long tenticle in there now but just added the flower anemone yesterday. I'm hoping it will host to one of them but so far no luck on the long tentical one. I know a carpet anemone is good and so is a bubble tip but right now budget is tight so I may have to save...but is there a chance my clown may host my flower anemone? Thanks in advance!

 

yes it is possible, but every clown is different. i have a pair of false percs one hosts a haitian purple tip while the other one wont go near it

 

i've just read alot of info that states flower anemones would never host any fish...this just seemed odd to me...so far my clown has seemed to enjoy hosting to my pvc overflow.

 

Depending on the age of your clowns they might not go near any anenomes until they're mature, or feel threatend.
Normally takes a while.
It's very possible it will host the clowns.

in the wild that anemone never would host any even if its in the same location. in the ocean only a few anemones host clownfish and each anemone has only certain types of clowns it hosts. compatibility chart Clownfish and Anemone Compatibility Chart . To have the best chance of symbiotic relationship you should get the anemone that the clown would normally host. in our tanks the clowns don't have the choice of the anemone they get. they will basically take the closest thing they can get be it other anemones, frogspawn or zoos.

 

My maroon has hosted with a flower anemone, that I used to have. It's also gone for a pink tip. I now have a purple haitian and it won't go near it. My clown just loves his toadstool.;D
