Fancy Nassarius Snails

    Just picked up 2 of these guys and I love them. I've never seen Nassarius snails that look like this.

    That is not a nassarius IME. PM pagojoe about it. I am not positive but I suggest not putting it in the tank until it is identified.

    Sure is pretty though.

    I have a bunch of those, don't know the real name, we call them leapard or butterscotch Nassarius.

    there not nassarius but do practicly the same thing ive had them before there huge

    i had them, they were really big!, compared to other nassarus. My hermit crab ate it and used it. He was at his biggest stage

    Not sure, I only have a couple of empty shells that came from the LFS with hermits.

    Well bummer. I specifically asked them if these were in fact Nasarrius when they pulled them out and they said "YES". From what I just read they can prey on clams and other snails. I have no clams and I don't really care about my other snails cause these guys are way cool. I'll replace the ugly ones if it comes to it.

    2in10 I'll PM pagojoe and see what he says about it.

    Of those of you who've had them did you have any issues in your reef tank?
