Fans for lighting

I was in Lowes today and saw bathroom type ventilation fans. One of the high end choices was quiet (2 sones?) and moves 140 cfm. I know that it would require running a duct to the outside but wondered how effective something like this would be if I put it in the canopy with 3 or more 400 W MH bulbs. Happy to hear any and all thoughts but I know this is right up Tangsters alley.

 

Much better options then a Broan bath fan . 140 cfm is about enough to puff a match out .. you are looking at 800 to 1200 CFM l for 3 400 w bulbs all depneding on what type and how the ducting is ran..P/M me if you need any help or ideas as to how to duct it in ..Chris is out of town I spoke with him last week he said he would contact you . He can get you some real fans from our HVAC supplier..

Thats some heavy duty stuff . I just ran 3x computer hardrive fans on mine;D

 

Yes he is down at the beach place .. I'm not sure when he will be back maybe now ? I called him twice over the weekend to ask about the Richmond race next weekend never answered ? He'll get back to you.. when he is home I'm sure
