yea my farm crashed 2, giving up on this for now and focusing on my sump+refugium, if all goes to plan some pods should be safe there and i can transfer them up to the DT with a sponge or macro

After the lights have been out (in the tank and in the room) for an hour, go place a flashlight near the tank. Come back 15 minutes later and you should have pods walking on the glass where the flashlight is.

When you say two types of pods, are you thinking of mixing benthic and pelagic species or are you talking about mixing copepods with amphipods or isopods?

I suspect that you could mix benthic and pelagic species (I've never tried it so I don't know). However, you definitely wouldn't want to mix copepods with amphipods or isopods. The copepods you want to feed mandarins, wrasses, etc will be eaten by the amphipods for sure and possibly by the isopods.

well i still have pods in my farm :). im noticing that the 1 airstone i have in there i dont think its working like it should. i can see coulds of someting mayb salt. the stone im useing is an inch tall and maybe a 1/2 inch in dia. i was thinking of adding another at the the aposing corner. so i wouldnt have a cloud. i have a lot of baby pods atm but havent seen too many big one:(. in my tank besides corals i have a clownfish, blue tang, sailfin tang, foxface, butterfly, dragon goby, and a cleaner warrassm. do and of theses eat pods regularly? i tryed putting in a crab for clean up but it died:(. any reason for that? im dt tank is a 55g tank and was wondering if a 10g sump would be a good start since im out of work for med reasons and have half of what i need for it i know a 20g would be beter just cant afford it atm

use sponge filters, and sponges instead of rockwork for surface area, it is easy to remove. (this is a response to a post from page 1)

well its been about 2 weeks now and was wondering if i should put some in my DT. atm all i see are little specks moving around. what of water changes? i have a lot of crap at the bottom. so i figured id get 1 of my buckets and put my LR, alagae, and puffs in there and pour the water into the bucket and then clean my fram house. so if any1 has a comment plz let me know. ive been reading on farms and getting a lot of different thoughts.
