fast question about cleaing when moving.

    fast question i will be moving everything to a new bigger tank.

    should i clean out my filter. or do not clean it at all.


    or can i just clean the pumps and leave the bio balls alone.

    I would clean your bio balls becuase you are suppose to was them once a month anyways.

    No cause your the bio-balls are suppose to remove nitrates. just put them in a strainer for like noodles and shake them around as you rinse them off then dump them back in.

    i would only clean a quarter of the bio balls at a time... the bio balls contain alot of your bacteria your tank needs, and if u clean them all removing all your bacteria then it can def cause your tank to spike, until your tank builds up enough bacteria again to handle your bio load..
