    Hey all,
I just got back from work today to find my male clown looking fat as can be. I am semi-worried, but don't know if I should be. He is eating and behaving normally, and looks fine (except for the extra chub). I think I have narrowed it down to a few possibilities, but I would like anyone else's input:

    1. Disease

    2. Ate too much (last night I put in some more broccoli for our tang to graze on, and the clown was paying a lot more attention to it than usual, so I think this is highly possible)

    3. Some type of reaction from him trying to host my torch so much last night

    4. Something to do with breeding/mating? He and the female have been awful frisky with each other. Other than noting there behavior I have no knowledge about clowns mating, so this is just a random guess.

    5. As with all pets, fish begin to resemble their keepers ;D

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
    TIA

Sounds like you are just taking good care of him. I have never heard of any disease that makes fish fat.

i know of freshwater fish and had a couple tetras in the past that had bloat, but they act really sick and die shortly after getting big when its bloat...my clown looks very fat if he eats alot, so thatd be my guess

I've been trying dude, but its hard. It wont stay still or is always at the wrong angle to see his gut.
But its easy to visualize: Just picture Rosie O'Donnel wearing a white and orange sweatshirt swimming about my tank
