The Royal Gramma (2Part) is going great. He's very shy and COULD have the run of most of the tank if he wants since the clowns live in the nem, but he has been staying to the left portion exclusively.

I don't have any kind of top right now so it's going to be tricky to craft one since my system is sumpless and all my equipment is hang on.

I'd like to get a Green Mandarin once my refugium is a pod making machine and then a Firefish Goby and an Exquisite Fairy Wrasse once I do have a top.

So, until I craft a screen top -
Does anyone have suggestions/ideas for non aggressive reef safe fish for a 30 gal that will get along with my clowns, R Gramma and the aforementioned future crew?

    Thanks,

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
So glad you like the RG one of my favorite fish.

I like Fire Fish quite a bit as well but big jumpers.

Not sure how a Gold Assessor will work with a RG but check them out.

Dwarf Angels such as the Potter and Coral Beauty would fit in, but you run a risk of coral or clam nipping.

    Excellent suggestions Corailline, thanks.

Didn't think the Potters or Coral Beauty were possibilities for my size tank so good to know. Tho being semi-reef safe, I do currently have reservations about putting them in. But, it's something to think about.

I'll also check into compatibility as I think I read more than one basslet in my 30 COULD be aggressive towards their own species.

    UPDATE: 11/06/2012

Sluggo and the Nem didn't make it thru October.

Did a full cleaning on Sunday, took quite a while.

I now have Blue Life FX Pro in the reactor. I ended up getting the size up from the small (forgot exactly) and had to jam it in to make it fit (I did leave it in the sock it came in). There is a MJ900 running it and it's flowing nicely.

That's all for updates. No new fish or coral recently.

I plan on doing a bean overflow soon so stay tuned!

Snapped some quick pics a min ago for the pic junkies...

Sorry on your losses. Thank looks great. 2Part will always stay pretty close to home or a bolt hole as it is its nature.

I'm sorry about your losses too especially the nem. Any thoughts on what led to the demise? Your tank looks great! Please let me know how the FX product works for you! I've been looking at trying out some different GFO in my tank. The combo idea sounds good.

    thanks

Thanks. I don't even know where his home is, he just disappears!

    Definitely!

    Thanks.
I had two HUGE temp swings. I left the windows open for two really cold days and the temp dropped drastically, my heater couldn't handle the swing. So I put in a 2nd heater... the temp went thru the roof.
I got it dialed in and it's solid at 79* now.

I will update on the results of the FX Pro. It's really going to take at least two weeks to tell. I'll be gone thanksgiving week so it'll be a good test to see what the tank looks like when I get home. I almost went with Chemi Pure Elite but I was more intrigued with the FX Pro after what I read...
