Tore down my GSPuffer's tank last night and threw him in this tank...

I'm sure he'll decimate the CUC given enough time, not a super big deal.

I am worried for the welfare of my golden banded coral shrimp pair tho...

    Skimmer is doing great.
I don't have a high bio-load so there really isn't a ton to pull out, tho I'm sure my piggy puffer (Dug) will now knock it up a notch.

    T5HO 30" to 24" retrofit
I'm going to open another thread to discuss this... Will link to after

In The Midwest, it's 'Limpits Reef Buffet' !

    Limpits-Reef-Buffet

I know this guy personally- Ron, he's at all the frag swaps locally, etc.

This stuff is argualbly THE BEST all around food.
It's a frozen blend in sheets.

Everything in my DT goes crazy over this stuff too!
I even feed chunks to my Nems, they like it too!

It's a blend of many things, not just one thing.

They also make a coral blend that has some kind of little eggs as well.

They have shipping, etc. I"m sure it'd be in a cold pack, etc.

Maybe you can get your LFS to carry it- all the ones here do.

He also makes a 'coral blend'

It says he puts cyclop-eeze in it, cool. I've heard of it before, I'll have to check it out, thanks Todd.

Well, I've ordered the ballasts tonight. Hopefully they'll be here before the weekend so I'll have time for the project.

    I've taken 2in10's advice and ordered ATI's

    UPDATES: 06/18

    Lights:
Light fixture modification was a great success.
Looks excellent with the bulb combo John (2in10) recommended.
I'm hoping for some good growth with this setup.

Here is the link to the thread:

    Feesh:
Puffer is doing fine in the tank, to be expected.
I think all my CUC snails are now gone, no biggy.

The other fish are actually eating much better now too. Since the puffer will just eat everything given the chance the other fish have realized this and actually have to get in there an be a bit aggresive. It has led to better feedings, and less waste along with making it a bit enjoyable for me as well.

    Food:
The puffer will not eat the New Life Spectrum pellets so I'm alternating between frozen mysis and frozen bloodworms.
Reef Chili once a week and I've just started using TLFs Marine Snow...

    New adds:
    Frogspawn (green with purple tips)
Zoas - got a very nice piece with 150 or so heads on it

    Wire Management:
Everyone knows the multiple power strips can be such a headache...
I picked up an 8 switch DJ style rack mount power switcher!
I love it already - AND I was able to mount it into my steel equipment stand as it just happens to be the same width as a rack mount!
Mounted two powerstrips on the backside of the stand out of the way.
    Worked out perfect!

    I'll upload pics tonight!

I was given some Amazon gift certificates so I decided to order this little guy. Pretty much only paid for shipping.

Wave-point Mirco Sun 6,500 k Daylight High Output 8-Watt LED Fixture Lighting for Aquarium, 6-Inch

    8 - 1 watt 6500K LEDs
"water resistant" with an aluminum body and hood

Should be plenty of light for my 13"x6"x13" fuge (hanging off the back of my sump).
Hope it's as nice as it sounds. Didn't find too many reviews for folks using the 6500K model as a fuge light, so I'll keep yall posted.

I'm loving that Zoa colony! Hopefully mine will grow that size some day. And congrats on the (almost) free fuge light.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    It is a beautiful piece.

Are you going to leave it isolated because it's screaming to invade near by rock work?
