Nice scape bastad! It looks very natural. Lots of space to place corals when the time is right as well. Those golden CBS are sweet as well. :)

    Thankee folks.
I'm excited now that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the tank!

Skyfire, I see you have a GSP, me too in my nano.

Put the skimmer online about 2 weeks ago. Microbubbles have been driving me crazy but they are really tapering off now. Had a gift card for Amazon so I ordered the pre-skimmer box which will be here Wednesday. The reviews show it can boost skimmate output by surface skimming, we'll see... Folks say it also helps reduce micro bubbles and has an area to throw in a sac of carbon so I'm looking fwd to trying it out. Still in the break-in period and my bio-load is low so there hasn't been much production yet.

Got a CUC & a bag of pods+ from Reefcleaners last Friday, impressed, thanks John.

Hung 3 powerstrips inside the stand, started some cable routing/organizing...

Got a Hydor Koralia Evolution 550 yesterday, I'll put it in tonight. Still need to instal my ATO too.

Might go to the LFS this weekend for some.......

Great progress.... the skimmer will be like that for a while. Mine is still not producing much either after 6 weeks...

    Yay for LFS trips!

Put in the Koraila 550 in last week. So I have 2 420's and a 550 (a cobalt 1200 on the skimmer and hang on filter for movement)
That being said, I've very disappointed in the 550 since my 420's are literally 1/2 the size and blow almost as hard. But, the flow is good overall.

Added the Remora pre skimmer box, this thing is huge!

It appears to work great so far, it's reduced all the micro bubbles and I can't see any protein on the surface what so ever. It has a large area to put media in the return also. I've taken the carbon and gfo sacs I had in my hang on filter (custom pad set up) and threw them in there. Awesome, this will make it even easier for filter maintenance and give me more area filter pads/floss.

Went to one of the local LFS last night (not my favorite one) to see their selection of torches and hammers.

Couldn't pass up this nem, it was a great price...

I'm being honest here, I never had a nem before and I'm not knowledgeable about them... :-[
I'll do everything I can for him but I know I've already taken a risk.
Furthermore, as far as I can tell, he's got about the same dern chance of survival in my tank as the LFS I went to since they are good but not top notch by any means.

That being said, they had moved him not long ago as he wandered into a tanks overflow and they had tore his foot a bit whilst trying to remove him.
When I found him yesterday he was stuck to the glass quite high up in one of their tanks. Took the employee a bit of coaxing to remove him... (which I read is good)

    I assume it's a Sebae right?

The store was very busy and I didn't get a definite answer from the lad that bagged him.

Drip acclimated at home for about 40 mins last night.
The pic was right after I put him in last night, I put on the moonlights afterwards to reduce the stress and it was already getting late. I'm sure he was still miffed from being plucked, bagged, the ride home and acclimated.

By this morning he walked about 8" to the back of the tank where it's hard to see him but he's still on the sand bed. He's opened up more and is looking even better as the day goes on. I imagine he'll prob still cruise around till he's happy.

I know I'll catch some hell from folks about adding a nem to a tank that's less than 6 months old, ohh well. The Mrs. and I really wanted one and with the price I figured I'd give it a shot now while he can wander all over to find his happy place without doing any damage.

Flame on Wayne. Flame on Garth. :shout:

From the small bit of reading I was able to do today, sounds like it's going to be an uphill battle...
    My tank isn't "mature" - strike 1
His foot was torn not too long ago - strike 2
From what I've read, the tentacles should be pretty long and not very short and fat (tho he looks a lot different today than in last night's pic, I'll try and get a better one tonight or tomorrow night) tentacles are longer and less fat - possible strike 3
If it is a Sebae, he isn't white so that is a good thing. I read they are supposed to be sticky? ...didn't feel like it when I placed him in there last night.

Picked up a sm frag up pulsing xenia which appears to be doing well.
Obviously hard to get a clear pic with my phone since it's pulsing.

I'll do everything I can but I know it still may not be enough, hopefully it is.

Please folks, throw up all thoughts and tips I can do to help him out and give him the best % of survival.

    Thanks, FB

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Congrats FB, nice looking anemone will be even nicer once full opened.

If you can without much trouble just try and move him so his foot is up against the rockwork, it may foot faster that way.

I typically do not feed them for a couple weeks after acclimation.

Not uncommon for them to split soon after introduction to newer tanks, usually that is not an issue.

As long as it foots soon it should be fine.

Looking good FB and best of luck with the nem.

I have that same box for my remora and was happy with it before I switched to a sump,it does not surface skim as advertised but it does really help with the microbubbles and the media chamber is of coarse a big plus.It also looks much nicer imo than just the pump hangin there.
