Favia coral shrinked, tentacles not coming out..

    I have a frag of favia, and the tentacles use to be out all the time and it was pretty fat... suddenly today evening after coming back from work, i saw it shrunk and no tentacles out at all.... here is a pic:

    if u see the white part on the border, u can see how fat it use to be as there is no algae on that part....

    my favia does not always show tentacles. Might just be full :)

    during the day it does get fat - the only time it seems to deflate is when a hermit crab or other bugs it.

    have you moved it?

    oh I just noticed that a button polyp is almost touching it. that could be the issue. button polyps are aggressive.

    could have been a hermit or fish sitting on it or near - they have their own moods :)

    yep. If it persists, it may be getting a little too much light, or too much flow. If it shrank down at the end of the light cycle, it would be too much light. How long have you had it?
