I have had a beautiful Green and red favia in my tank for a couple weeks now. Well after finding a website from fellow 3reefers I found out this little guy has tentacles. Hmmm. Did not know that...

So what I am asking is any advice from those who have experience with this coral so that I can give it the best chance of survival.

    Thank you in advance. :)

Low to moderate flow, moderate light and the key to great growth is to feed them small meaty foods a couple nights a week or at a minimum one night a week. I use frozen fish eggs, capeline roe, they sink, packed with protein and are easily consumed by coral. For the matter ALL LPS love them and will definetly hasten growth.

Good luck with the favia, they can be beautiful!!
    Happy LPS feeding!

Opps I forgot to say, maintain Ca and alk at the proper levels as well as an elevated pH for best growth.

Thanks!!!! I'll have to run by the lfs and pick up some eggs and capeline roe.. I was just feeding marine snow and brine in my tank. I feel bad, I had NO idea the favia liked food like this.. poor thing...

Capeline roe is the most common fish eggs for sale! :) Marine snow is TOO small for LPS and brine floats too much and is hard to fed to LPS...
Try feeding the favia at night so then the fish are less likely to eat the food.

    Good luck and happy feeding!
