favia feeding?

    my favia is thankfully growing and splitting its almost doubled in size since i got it but it has its tenticals out constantly do i have to feed him anything???

    Mine is a pig. You can feed all kinds of meaty foods. I fed some brine and cyclop-eeze.

    ok and should i soak the brine in garlic. how do i feed it do i just place it on the mother or on the tentlicals?

    Turn off the flow and you can squirt a bit on the body to watch it drag the food into its mouth or directly on the mouth.

    That I don't know. I thought garlic was more for fish than corals. I usually add some HUFAs to the food I feed anything in the tank but I don't think garlic s necessary for corals.

    Highly unsaturated fatty acids. Products like selcon.

    so should i wait and buy selcon to feed or can i do it with regualar brine shrimp

    You can feed regular brine. I have selcon because I had some fish that would eat nothng but brine. I had to get some nutrients n to them. Thankfully they eat pellet food now!


    I wish I had a pic of my favia eating....I'll try to get one at next feeding.
