    plus 1 on that. The ATI Blue + is the best blue/ actinic bulb out there IMHO.

    The UVL Super actinic is a horrible looking bulb with little PAR as well.

    U like the 420nm spectrum of the UVL SA. You do sacrifice a little par but they make your corals pop nice! UVL also has a newer bulb called the 454. Its 454nm and it compares to ATI one. Not sure which is better.

    GE 6500k
    ATI 12k

    I love the color of the combo.

    Better start hoarding those bulbs, VHO's are apparently not even being made anymore. Something to do with the phosphors not being ecologically friendly. Then there is the whole watts used issue, along with the lack of a real reflector available.

    Mattheuw1, you really like that UVL bulb? I couldn't stand the colors, and the lack of light it puts out. You lose quite a bit of PAR with that bulb compare to the ATI B+ for the most PAR or this kind of bulb, and then the Geiseman (actinic + IIRC)came in second.
