Followup to Scuba's thread on "Gobys:"

Am infatuated with the whole Goby group and want to add couple to tank. These are fish that seem to have alot of "character" and are just "cute" also.

They have a wide range of living habits, from "cleaners" "hole diggers" etc, etc.

Most all listed as "peaceful" and "reef safe" -

Have on my current "to get" list a:

"Yellow Watchman Goby" & a "Clown Goby - Green" with adding some day another Dragonet or a couple of "Citron Clown Goby's" - which look like the neatest little things.

Am guessing they should all get on well together in same tank according to descriptions - although don't want them competing for same food source if feeding is an issue.

Any other "favorites" out there learned from experience with the species that I may be overlooking? Or some that may do better then others in a "young" tank?

Am looking for some advice here.

    Much thanks in advance.

    Rgds,

I have 2 Diamond Gobies in my tank. They are pretty cool/helpful fish. They usually stick together filtering my sand by the mouthful! Very peaceful and just seem to mind their own business! Great workers and an enjoyment to watch!

The golden head goby is great. Hovers around the tank dive bombing to pick up sand and drop it

I like my orange diamond goby and am thinking about adding a yellow watchman. But my favorite is my mandrian. Trouble is mandrian is a real expert only fish and you need mature lr to keep.
