Well, if I couldn't see the musicians in that video, I would have called that noise. Not exactly what I consider "music". Music is supposed to NOT give you a headache, IMO :D I had to turn off the video at 1:14. I don't really like the way alot of metal bands play drums. :( All it take to play drums like that is some seriously crazy endurance, and the ability to keep a beat. Otherwise it's just banging away.

If you want some awesomely talented drumming, check out Ray Luzier from KORN.

Also, Disturb's drummer is pretty stinkin' good. And as much as I hate to admit it, Nickelback's drummer is great too. The sign of a great drummer is the ability to play SLOW. You know you're a good drummer when you can keep a slow beat. Keeping a fast beat is easy.

Yep, except I'm still a beginner so bar chords are quite painful, but like in reefing all you need is dedication.:)

I guess I would disagree. Yes metal drums take loads of endurance to play, which is normally a primary distinction from most rock music, but I would say you have it backwards. Most metal drummers can play slow melodic tunes, but it's not what they are interested in. My favorite metal drummer is Derek Roddy, from the band Hate Eternal. He is known as one of the fastest drummers in metal, but he's also in a couple jazz bands. If you took a metal song and slowed it WAY down, it would be blues. I'm not talking about the new "hardcore" genres because I'm not really into them. But most 80's and 90's death metal are blues times 10. lol.
btw, I am a drummer and Korn's drummer was a huge influence on me untill one day I felt his work was no longer a challege. Although that was David Silveria at the time.

So to some it up it's all about what your interested in. Someone might say AC/DC's drummer is the best because he can play slow and I might say Hate Eternal's drummer is better because he's faster. But in reality is all about what you want to play. Metal drummers play fast because It's how they want to play, not because they can't play melodic. And that goes vice versa as well. Some hip-hop drummer could be crazy talented but we wouldn't know because of the style he's interested in.

I belive you might be putting the wrong code in between the tags.
In the description on the video you want you will see two boxes, one labeled "URL" and the other "Embed". Copy and paist the "Embed" code in between the (YOUTUBE) tages but with brackets [] instead of ()

my favorite vocalist is hands down "chad gray" from mudvayne. The way he can scream like a madman but slow it down and sing a bit.

my favorite guitarist would have to be dimebag
my favorite drummer is "gene hoglan" have you ever heard of him. Testament, strapping young lad, and dethklok.
I also like mike portnoy from dream theater.
