My feather duster has been in my 29gallon biocube for about a month and has been perfectly fine but recently he's been secreting something weird. It looks kinda like a long brown strand that I thought might be poop but it's been coming out 2-3 times a day for the past few days so I'm wondering if it might be something different. He still seems happy- staying out and all my other corals and fish seem fine but these strands are getting stuck to stuff... Any ideas what that might be??

Yes but if it's poop why is it coming out so often all of a sudden?

That is a good question. The duster may be getting a lot more food now would be my guess.

Hmm... I feed phytoplankton every other day and cyclopeez and coralvite once a week- haven't changed the amount of feeding...

Those feedings may have built up more phytoplankton in your system.
