ik they are filter feeders, but i was wondering if i could occasional feed them (like certain coral's) for some growth? i was going to mash some flakes in tank water, and squirt it near it so it flows to it. is that ok or should i not bother? lol

I wouldnt bother with that, They tend to catch bits of left overs from feeding the fish . Otherwise I would feed them the correct invert food if you wanted to feed them

i was confused because you said feed them the "correct" food, and should i bury the tube or leave it on the sand?

lol I dont remember what kinda plankton it is that they get in their invert food. thats why.

As for that... I actually stuck one of mine in a rock crack and another in the sand, they actually over time attached themselves to the rock and the other to the under side of a coral.
