feather duster?

    Nope. No Zooxanthellae. They filter tiny particles out of the water with their feather crown. It would probably be beneficial to feed phytoplankton every so often though, especially if its a new tank.

    I don't think they eat phyto, but I may be wrong. I've never fed mine in 8 months

    The only feather dusters i have are so tiny that they are growing on the shells of my turbo snails. Its kinda cool looking. If they get big enough, ill take a photo. No light needed.

    i would have them in low flow or medium flow. i think they will eat phyto but there is enough normal lil things in the water column for them to eat to survive and reproduce

    Did you just buy one? Or, trying to take care of one that you found in your tank?

    Featherdusters do eat phyto, and well its not necessary to feed it to them it may help them, especially in a new tank.

    trying to take care of a second little one i found in my tank

    big one is about 1/4 in in dimeter brown and black in color
    small really small saw him last week and moved the rock because it was a high traffic area and the hermits were disturbing him
