Feather dusters?

    I'm sorry i don't have a photo to post, but i noticed a ton of, what looks like feather dusters, growing all over an area of my tank.
    The are small skinny tubes, with a little flowery thing on the end.

    Could they really be a bunch(50 or so)of feather dusters, or could they be something bad?:confused:

    They're even growing out of the sand.

    without a picture can't be sure, but it's not uncommon for feather dusters to be hitch hikers on live rock or even on pieces of coral you bring in

    I do have an arrow crab, so i'm sure if it was something bad, he would have eatin it, no?

    They are normal beneficial filter feeders, feather dusters, i have loads in my tank mainly little white ones, came in with the live rock, nothing to worry about...

    sounds like reather dusters, im willing to bet the flowery thing is red too. I had a fair few but i've recently added a copperband butterfly!
    Needless to say the have all gone now.
