well. ive been wondering.. since feather dusters are worms.. filter feeders. do they need light to survive in a tank?

i was wondering if i could get those for my 150 even though i haven't gotten my good lights yet. i only have the 4 bulbs of 32 watts each.

my question came because i saw this jacker on one of my rocks.. thought it was aipstasia.. since im fighting this little pest right now:angry: but no... it wasnt it. i looked at it and it is definitely a filter feeder. kinda looks like... eye lashes.... but they make a cone shaped thing. there is like 4 of them.

i have 2 feather dusters that until a couple days ago were under a standard single fluorescent strip light from walmart or something like that. so i would venture to say that there is no way the need ANY light. on top of that the bulbs were worn out

I had one under a 5 watt fluorescent for a long time and it seemed to be doing great.
