My featherduster just lost its feathers.. lol I know the worm is still alive, it comes up every so often. How long does it take to regenerate new ones?

PS: what are those feathers called?

Feather duster drop there feather when they don’t get enough to eat. But the funny thing about it is that, they cannot eat without the feathers/crown, so it like a downward slope. I hear you can feed it iodine. BUT it will cloud your water and screw with your par and you have to test for it too. but feather duster are cool to it gets to this point

No, They do not lose them when they have no food. They lose them to grow new ones as they become damaged. They cannot grow new skin like our skin does, or shed like some snakes, so instead, they just drop em off and grow new ones :)
