Hey, any tidbit of info helps, even if it doesn't answer my original question. Where do you get yours from?

i get DT Phyto from LFS because, being alive, it's stored in the fridge... so shipping is expensive. $10 for a bottle or so...

The phytoplex, chromaplex, and Micro-vert are all different blends of phyto. The zooplex is small pods and what-not (meaty foods). NONE of these will be beneficial to your feather duster, as they all have too large of a particle size.
DT's is a little better because it contains much smaller particles of phyto. Some of the Rod's and other things are even better, as they contain very small meaty items that will benefit a feather duster the most.

Ok, so I noticed the other night that my feather was starting to stick it's crown back out but now this morning he has moved completely out of his tube. What should I do with him? Should I leave him next to his old tube or partially bury him in the sand?

    Here is a pic:

leave it alone. do not mess with it unless it is being harassed by something else.

Ok, so will it regrow a new tube, bury itself, move back in or what? Or will it just do what it feels like doing?

it will either die, get eaten, bury itself and hopefully build a new tube, move into some rock and hopefully build a new tube or (in cases I have only read about but never seen or heard first hand) move back into the old tube.

If you mess with it, it will increase the odds of it stressing to death. It's better to leave it alone and hope.

It is critical to keep your params stable right now, they are sensitive to these things (SG mostly, IME).

    good luck.

Alright, I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.
